How Will Meditation Bring You What You Want?
The power of meditation is based in all the things that your mind will bring when you have trained it through meditation. Your mind, or perhaps I should say, the way that you use your mind, can be the most powerful tool that you ever use in your life.
It can and has changed peoples’ lives around completely. The Net is full of news about research that has been done and how it brings positive mental and physical changes to the people who practise it.
Bigger, Better Brain Users
Let’s look at high achievers like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Richard Branson. These three men have have all been winners in the game of life. Their minds allowed them to dream up big plans. They thought of ways to make those plans come true. They kept on thinking of new ways to keep their plans growing. In the end they conquered their world and kept on growing bigger and better. Their minds just kept getting stronger and stronger.A very important factor in their lives was that they kept a balance in life between the outer world and the inner world. Bill Gates retired early and spends his time on charitable works, Richard Branson spends long periods on his own tropical island doing things he enjoys and that make him feel good and the late Steve Jobs used to regularly spend long periods of time meditating. These three built up powerful minds and used them in the correct manner. They brought pleasure and happiness to millions of people, built themselves fantastic lifestyles and always kept that balance between outer success and inner peace. They lived lives of good Karma and enjoyed the paying back of good Karma that such actions bring. I’m sure that when Steve Jobs is reborn he will be operating at an even higher level than he was at in this world. All the good Karma he has earned will return to him many times over. That is the way that Karma works. It follows you from life to life. So not only do you enjoy the rewards of using your brain properly in this life but they will follow you into your next re-incarnation.
Let’s A Look At Some Of The Losers In The Happiness Game
At the other extreme, we find some of life’s losers like drug abusers, alcoholics and suicidal depressives. All the different levels of lifestyle lie somewhere in between those two groups. And those different levels are all fixed by set patterns of thinking. You are what you think and you are how you think. The quality of your lifestyle is totally based on how you think about life, the people in your life and yourself. You, yourself, are the most important of these three things. Who you think you are, what you think you should have and what you think you are capable of getting will completely control what you are going to get in your life, they have always controlled your life and they will continue to control your life until you can change them.
When, say ‘them’, I am talking about YOU! Who you think you are, what you think you should have and what you think you are capable of getting. These things are your beliefs. The things that you believe about yourself. You must change those beliefs. They are things that hold you back from achieving what you really want in life.
How can you have a love that is deeply fulfilling if you think nobody likes you?
How can you be successful if you believe that you couldn’t succeed at anything?
How can you be happy if you believe that the world is an unhappy place? All you are doing is building walls to keep you away from what you want.
Lots of people have these type of beliefs and even more strange ones. Where do they come from? The answer is, from lots of places. Parents, teachers and peer groups. Lots of research has been done on the last one. Overwhelming evidence shows that you are very strongly influenced by the people you mix with. The amount of money you earn, the amount of body fat that you carry and the success of your relationships are directly related to the groups of people that you mix, work or live with. (All the more reason for you to join The Happy People. Plus the fact that it is FREE! LOL)
Now I’m not saying that the three top achievers that I mentioned above had negative beliefs like that. They may have done, they may not have done. What they did have was a mental plan that kept them moving forward, allowed them to dream about a positive future and the focus to make those dreams come true. They didn’t necessarily have a better brain than other people. They just played better PROGRAMMES on it.
You! Yes You! How About You?
Well, let me say that if you are not getting the results in your life that you want, it is because you are running the wrong programmes through your mind. If you want some music you do not tune in to a sports channel, do you? If you want happiness, success and lots of top drawer relationships, then thoughts, beliefs and plans to make them happen must be playing in your mind.
The Happy News
But first the unhappy news. It is practically impossible to get rid of those negative programmes that are controlling your life right now.
So what’s the happy news? The happy news is that when you start running positive programmes, it’s practically impossible to get rid of them! Once you get that winning attitude in your life, everything starts to turn to good and stays good.
So How Do You Get Started?
What you have to do, is replace all those negative messages that you keep sending yourself with positive ones. You have to first get rid of the negative ones. The way to do this is to start MEDITATING! You are dragging a wagon load of negative, unhelpful beliefs and behaviours behind you. Meditation will allow you to leave them behind and get busy with your new ones. When you have emptied your mind of all it’s old, useless baggage, you can fill it up with the good stuff! And then your fun will start. And believe me, you will have some fun.
Just imagine how good you will feel when some of your plans start to work out for you. Don’t get me wrong, Meditation is not Magic. You must learn how to do it properly, you must plan for what you want and you must focus. But meditation will help you to do these things better and easier. It must be the right type of meditation. There are many, many, many types of meditation. All of them are helpful for you BUT if you want the deep, life changes that we are talking about here then you must learn Empty Mind/Zen/Chan meditation. It is the only one that I know that is really suitable.
